Terms of Use

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the web application Bot/TrollChecker (the “Service”), available at calm-spot-bot-check.base44.app and its custom domains. The Service is provided by the application administrator (the “Operator”), whose contact details are given in section 12.

By using the Service you accept these Terms and Conditions in full and without reservation. If you do not agree with them, do not use the Service. The terms and conditions are concluded within the meaning of Art. 428 et seq. of the Bulgarian Obligations and Contracts Act and Art. 3a of the Consumer Protection Act.

By using the Service you also expressly consent to providing your personal data (email address, history of performed analyses, subscription data and, when signing in with Google, the name provided by Google), which are necessary for creating a profile, providing the analyses, managing the subscription and protection against abuse. The conditions and scope of this processing are described in detail in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms and Conditions.

Bot/TrollChecker is a tool for analysing social media profiles. Using artificial intelligence, the Service processes publicly available information or information provided by you about a given profile (link, username, post text, screenshot) and assesses the probability that the profile is a bot, fake account or troll, indicating a confidence level and the signals used.

Important: the analysis results are for information and guidance only. They represent a probabilistic assessment generated by an artificial intelligence model and are not a specialist's conclusion, an expert report or evidence before any authority or court. Do not base decisions with legal, financial or other significant consequences solely on the results of the Service.

The Service may be used by persons who have reached the age of 18. Minors under this age may use the Service only with the express consent of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for their use.

All rights to the Service - interface, design, texts, trademarks and software - belong to the Operator or its licensors. Reproduction, modification, distribution or use of any part of the Service without prior written consent is prohibited.

When using the Service you agree to comply with applicable law, good morals and the following rules. Prohibited:

• using the Service for automated mass data extraction (scraping), overloading the servers or circumventing technical restrictions;
• analysing profiles for the purpose of harassment, defamation, threats, discrimination or other unlawful conduct against individuals;
• presenting the analysis results as an official verdict, expert report or identity verification;
• publishing or distributing analysis results in a way that intentionally violates the dignity or good name of third parties;
• using the Service in a way that violates the terms of use of third-party platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, etc.).

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act, DSA), the Operator takes reasonable measures against abuse and the dissemination of illegal content through the Service.

The full functionality of the Service is provided against an annual subscription Bot/TrollChecker Premium. Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. as a payment services provider; the Operator does not store your card details.

• The subscription runs for one year and renews automatically unless cancelled before renewal;
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your profile settings or by contacting the Operator; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, in accordance with Art. 45 of the Consumer Protection Act;
• You have the right to withdraw from the distance contract within 14 days of its conclusion in accordance with Art. 43 et seq. of the Consumer Protection Act, by writing to the Operator;
• Prices include applicable taxes, which are shown before payment.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of continuity, error-free operation or completeness. The analyses depend on publicly available information, which may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate.

The Operator is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or damages resulting from decisions taken solely on the basis of results of the Service. This does not exclude liability for intentional conduct or gross negligence, or the mandatory liability under applicable law.

The Operator may amend these Terms and Conditions with at least 7 days' notice before they take effect, publishing the new version at this address. Material changes are also communicated by email to registered users.

The Operator may suspend or restrict access to the Service in case of abuse, non-payment or technical necessity, notifying you where possible.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Bulgarian law. Disputes are resolved by negotiation and, failing that, by the competent Bulgarian court, without prejudice to the mandatory provisions of Regulation (EU) 1215/2012 and the Consumer Protection Act on jurisdiction over consumer disputes.

Consumers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform (ODR) at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr and the European Consumer Centre in Bulgaria.

The Service analyses public information on social media, but is independent of them and is not affiliated with Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Telegram or any other platform. The use of those platforms is governed by their own terms.

The version of these terms and the date of their last update are indicated at the top of the page. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means acceptance of the new version.
